Collide (Blackcreek Series #1) by Riley Hart

At ten years old, Noah Jameson and Cooper Bradshaw collided mid-air when they dove for the same football. For three years, they were inseparable…until one day when Noah and his parents disappeared in the middle of the night.

Noah and Cooper never knew what happened to each other. Now, seventeen years later, after finding his boyfriend in bed with another man, Noah returns to Blackcreek looking for a fresh start. And damned if he doesn't find his old friend grew up to be sexy as sin. Coop can’t believe Noah—the only person he trusted with the guilt over his parents’ death—is back. And gay… Or that Cooper himself suddenly wants another man in his bed for the first time.

There’s no denying the attraction and emotion between them, but can they overcome the ghosts of their pasts to have a future together?

This title contains two strong, sexy men, and a passionate friendship that transforms into a sizzling hot romance

"You don't mind sharing a house with a gay man?"

My first Riley Hart novel, man, oh, man (haha) was I in for a treat!  Noah and Coop are HAWT together!  Best friends since they were 10 years old,  and one day Noah and his family up and leave Blackcreek Colorado, leaving Coop without saying goodbye.  Fast forward 17 years.....Noah founds his lover/boyfriend in bed with another man.  Noah sets out driving (in a '69 Ford Mustang) back to Blackcreek and collides quite literally into Coop.  You can feel to instant sexual tension between Noah and Cooper, while they are "roomies" sharing Cooper's new house.  I really loved the story line and the author did a great job with the plot and the characters. Could have shortened the flashbacks a little but a very good start for a promising gay-for-you author.  Just love reading about a "straight" men "Corruption".

"You cold or happy to see me?" he teased Noah.
"Fuck you.  They're piercings."
Holy Shit!
"You have your nipples pierced? Didn't that hurt?"
"Like a motherfucker.  The guys like it though." Noah winked at him.

I give Collide ★★★★ corrupting STARS!!!

Try by Ella Frank

Pleasure Fucking Overload

Try – verb: to make an attempt or effort to do something or in this case…someone.

Sex. Logan Mitchell loves it, and ever since he realized his raw sexual appeal at a young age, he has had no problem using it to his advantage. Men and women alike fall into his bed—after all, Logan is not one to discriminate. He lives by one motto—if something interests you, why not just take a chance and try?

And he wants to try Tate Morrison.

Just coming out of a four-year marriage with an ex-wife from hell, a relationship is the last thing on Tate’s mind. He’s starting fresh and trying to get back on his feet with a new job at an upscale bar in downtown Chicago.

The only problem is, Tate has caught the unwavering and unwelcome attention of Mr. Logan Mitchell – a regular at the bar and a man who always gets what he wants.

Night after night Tate fends off the persistent advances of the undeniably charismatic man, but after an explosive moment in the bar, all bets are off as he finds his body stirring with a different desire than his mind.

As arrogance, stubbornness and sexual tension sizzles between the two, it threatens to change the very course of their lives.

Logan doesn’t do relationships. Tate doesn’t do men. But what would happen if they both just gave in and…tried?

Meet Logan Mitchell

Meet Tate Morrison

"God, from the minute we met, you’ve been nothing but pure fucking temptation for me" Logan Mitchell

The easiest ★★★★★'s Ever

How can I explain how I felt reading this book?  Can anyone explain sponteous combustion?  Because that is what I felt constantly through the whole damn book.  From page 3 I was enchanted with the player Logan, instantly fell in love with one line  "Batter up! I want to play with some balls."  Ella Frank has taken a real gamble on stepping into a new genre, M/M with in my honest option is the best genre today.  Damn if she doesn't come up with "snake eyes", this is her best book to date IMO.  The title could not have been better named, because this book was all about trying.  It is about finding yourself, losing yourself and bettering yourself.    We meet Logan Mitchell from the start,  on an airplane "For the admission price of $543.90, was inducted into the exclusive Mile High Club, and it was worth every last penny"

So when Logan walks into his favorite after hours bar, we find that our "player" is actually bi-sexual, and when he lays eyes on the new "straight" bartender Tate Morrison it was instant #I'mgoingtotaptakeandsoon lust.  But Tate see's Logan as the player that he is and calls him out on his conquests, and Logan being the smartass talker he is responds
"That I like to fuck, and that I’ve slept with almost all of the women and a couple of the guys you work with.  And just so you don’t worry about them, they all thanked me afterward."  BAM I fucking love Logan!!!!!  This book is riddled with some of the best quotes and come backs that I have ever had the pleasure of reading.  Here is just a few of my 66 Kindle highlights:

"Does every word that comes out of mouth have to do with sex?   Usually, eighty/twenty, but with you it seems more like ninety-eight/two"

"You’re welcome to try, but unless something’s shoved in my mouth, I have to tell you, it’s next to impossible to ever shut me up"

"You can look all you like-in there.  Now, invite me into your bed, Tate.  You need an invitation?  I want one.  I want you to invite into your bed."

"You make me want things that I’d forgotten I wanted"

"So….what’s your truth, Logan?    I think you are."

"Stay?  Yes
Good, I want you to stay
Then, I’ll stay"

***Fanning my self***,  I could go on with Ella's dialogue,  to put simply this was the hottest book I have ever read, in ANY genre.  I look forward to next summer when I can get my hands back on my "boys" in Take.  This book made me laugh, made cry, and made want the throttle Logan multiple times through out it.

Brokenhearted (Hope Cove #1) by Cate Ashwood

My emotions overload because there is no hand to hold, there’s no shoulder here to lean on; I’m walking all on my own.”
― Christina Aguilera,

Hope Cove: Book One

Oliver Parrish has been alone in the world since he was born. So when Sheriff Owen “Mack” Macklin shows up on his doorstep to deliver the news that Oliver’s sister has died, he’s beyond surprised. Still, Oliver returns with Mack to Hope Cove, Maine, hoping to get to know the sister he never knew he had. As he tries to snap these new elements into his solitary life, he’s not sure how they might fit.

His life is shaken up further as he falls in love with the irresistible town of Hope Cove, and with Mack, its equally irresistible sheriff. But when he receives devastating news about his sister's cause of death, Oliver doesn't know whether to stay and fight for love and a good life, or cut his losses and run.

"There is no peace, though, is there?  Rest in Peace is one big fucking cosmic joke, because you're gone and everyone else is left to pick up the goddamn broken pieces that shattered all over the fucking place."

This book absolutely blew me away!  When I read the blurb, I went in with some skepticism.  This is the first book I have read by +Cate Ashwood, but I can tell you this will not be the last.  Her Oliver is one of the best characters that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting,  Beautiful, lonely and sweet man/boy who has never received a break in his life, founds that he has a sister.  The bad thing is that she has passed away living him her estate, that includes her bakery and apartment.   her bestfriend since 4th grade, Mack goes to Seattle to find Oliver and tell him the news about Maggie. This book is about the road not travelled,  finding yourself and how love can conquer anything no matter what the odds.  I laughed and I cried ugly tears for Oliver.  So don't miss your opportunity to visit Hope Cove, Maine.

I give "Brokenhearted"

Long Time Gone by SE Jakes

Long Time Gone by Se Jakes

(Hell or High Water #2)

17936957

When a tornado meets a volcano, nothing is safe.

Soldier of fortune Prophet Drews always worked alone—until Tom Boudreaux became his partner. But when Tom walked away three months ago, ostensibly to keep Prophet safe, Prophet learned the true meaning of being alone. Everyone knows that Prophet, a Navy SEAL turned CIA spook turned mercenary, can look after himself. Which means he must’ve driven his lover away.

Even with half a world between them, Prophet can’t get the man out of his head. Maybe that’s why he’s in New Orleans in the middle of a hurricane, protecting Tom’s aunt. But the only looter around is Tom, bursting back into Prophet’s life. It turns out that Prophet’s been stuck in Tom’s head—and heart—too.

Their explosive reunion gets even hotter when Tom is arrested for murder. As they fight to clear his name, they delve deep into his past, finding enemies among everyone they meet. Staying alive in such a dangerous world is hard enough, but they soon discover that fighting to stay together is the most difficult thing they’ve ever done

This book picks up after the cliffhanger from "Catch A Ghost", we learn about broken Elijah "Prophet" Drews introduced to us in "Free Falling" we get a cameo from Mick and Blue.  Four months after Tom walked away from Prophet, four months of working with the partner that HE chose for himself, Tom founds that he is missing "the bad luck breaker" from his past.  For those months he has sent emails, every night to the one man he could not chose to be his partner.  Every damn night he writes Prophet,  hoping that they are being read.  The last one states he is worried about his Aunt Della in New Orleans with an approaching Hurricane,  knowing that she is too stubborn to leave.
Prophet driving to be closer to Tom, reads his emails and decides he will head to NOLA to help Aunt Della.
Tom also worried, ends up in New Orleans and this city has never seen so much heat.  These two broken, hot alpha Black Ops agents is like throwing gasoline on a fire, no can feel the heat coming from every glance, every touch.  ****panty melting**  This book answers all of Tom's past, why he left the bayou,  all his secrets laid bare for Prophet to see,  if Tom was waiting for Proph to high tail and run he was so WRONG.  The feeling that these two expressed with just a touch, a glance is just amazing.  @SeJakes has this ability to place characters with such "brokeness" together that brings all the greatness of a telling a story.  I loved this story, really hoping to get Prophets complete story, but I feel like this will continue within the next books.  "Dirty Deeds"  will feature Cillian and Mal.

I give this book ★★★★'s

If Only (Masters of the Shadowlands #8) by Cherise Sinclair

Coming SoonIf Only

Shock & Awe (A Sidewinder Story) by Abigail Roux

Shock & Awe by Abigail Roux

(A Sidewinder Story)

"Does this mean I get to say I love you and you have to say it back?"

After barely surviving a shootout in New Orleans, Sidewinder medic Kelly Abbott has to suffer through a month of recovery before he can return home to Colorado. He’s not surprised when fellow Sidewinder Nick O’Flaherty stays with him in New Orleans. Nor is he surprised when Nick travels home with him to help him get back on his feet—after all, years on the same Marine Force Recon team bonded the men in ways that only bleeding for a brother can. He’s very surprised, though, when Nick humors his moment of curiosity and kisses him.

Nick knows all of Kelly’s quirks and caprices, so the kiss was a low-risk move on his part . . . or so he thought. But what should’ve been a simple moment unleashes a flood of confusing emotions and urges that neither man is prepared to address.

"Do you believe me when I say I want the D?"

"If I beg, will you shove that into me?"

Now, Kelly and Nick must figure out what they mean to each other—friends and brothers in arms, or something even deeper?—before the past can come back to ruin their tenuous future

To clarify things I am a huge Cut & Run fan,  and this story picks up were Touch & Geaux left us in New Orleans.  In the previous books I have had issues with Nick O'Flaherty simply because he was in love with my Ty Brady and the only man for Ty is Zane Garrett.  This is a wonderful written story as always, that changes focus to Kelly Abbott and Nick.  This side of Nick we have not seen,  the best friend, the protector and the possible lover for Kelly.  From their first kiss to their baby steps into a real relationship is a wonderful journey that only Abigail can tell.  At the end of Shock & Awe Ms. Roux changed my mind about "O" and I'm really glad she did.

I give this book a rating of  ★★★★1/2's

Can't wait for Bait & Switch coming in 2014!
